Change a customer's name, address or phone
Quick answerOnce a proposal is sent, its customer details can't be changed. A sent proposal is a legal document, so it has to stay exactly as the customer received it. If they haven't signed or paid yet, use Revise & resend to send a corrected proposal that replaces it.
A sent proposal can't be edited. It's a legal document, so it has to stay exactly as your customer received it. That includes their name, address and phone number.
If they haven't signed or paid yet
- In your dashboard, open Jobs & payments and tap the job.
- Tap Revise & resend this proposal.
- Fix the customer's details and send it. The new proposal replaces the old one, and the old one is kept on record.
If they've already signed or paid
The proposal stays as it is, because their signature has to match what they agreed to. Put the correct details on your next proposal or invoice for them.
Only the email address works differently. It's where the proposal gets delivered, not part of the agreement, so you can fix it any time. See Resend a proposal, or fix a customer's email.
